2 Chronicles 5:13-14 - It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.
Our Calling and Purpose
The purpose of the Holden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Music Ministry is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, encourage believers in their walk with Christ, lead the audience in worship and provide an avenue through which individuals may share their gift and be an integral part of the worship and praise. The Music Ministry spreads the Word of God through music experiences and provides worshipful music for both performances within a church and at venues outside of the church. We offer three different adult choirs (Worship & Praise Choir, Chancellor Choir, All Male Choir) Youth Ambassador Choir and the Praise Team, in our effort to incoporate Total Praise in our desire to worship God through music.

Inspirational Praise Ensemble (Praise Team)

The Praise Team is a collaboration of mixed singers who rehearse on Mondays at 6:30 pm. They opens up our worship services at 10:30 a.m., providing songs of praise, to usher in the presence of the Lord.

Worship and Praise Choir
"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High, Psalm 92:1."
The Worship and Praise Choir ministers and provides music for worship every First Sunday. The musical repertoire consists of spirituals, hymns, praise songs and gospel music.

Chancellor Choir
"Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of God, Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant, Psalm 135:2-3."
The Chancellor Choir ministers in musical selections for worship every second Sunday. The musical repertoire consists of praise songs and gospel music.

Youth Ambassador Choir
"Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp, Psalm 149:2-3."
The Youth Ambassador Choir is comprised of the youth and young adults throughout HCMBC. They provide a variety of spirituals and gospel music on the third and fifth Sundays.

The All Male Choir
"Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Psalm 107:15."
The All Male Choir provide music for worship on the fourth Sundays. The repertoire consists of gospel music, hymn tunes, spirituals, quartet singing and anthems.
